Gold Panning Family Outing next May 2012

Have you been watching all the gold shows on TV? Yes. Want to learn how to find gold in Michigan? We can show you how. I am putting together a 1 day how-to family outing for next May 2012 at our farm in Grant, MI. The price per person or family will be $50.00 and you will find gold from the pre-made bags (The famous Tom & Perry Massie gold bags) normally priced @ $34.99 + shipping included in the price. This would be a great outing for Boy or Girl Scout troops or any other youth groups. I am taking no profit for this outing. Any profits I will donate to the Michigan Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America to help promote prospecting here in our state. (this is NOT a GPAA outing) It is a great family hobby gaining in popularity here in Michigan. Each person will receive a 14" gold pan, a snuffer (helps pick gold from your pan), a glass vial to put your gold in, and a premade bag of material to pan (yes, it will have gold in there), plus how-to instruction. For an extra fee I hope to have Gemstone buckets to search also. You can find raw rubies, sapphires, 20-25 varieties of gemstones possible.

I will have local material delivered here to instruct in the use of equipment used here in Michigan. The Michigan rules will be discussed during the outing to keep you safe and legal here in Michigan. There will be demos of prospecting equipment running also. We hope to have a metal detecting area set up for kids.

This should be great fun for all!

The price will be $50.00 per kit prepaid by April 1, 2012. You need to purchase only one kit for your family to attend. You can share a pan and gold bag with your family or friends at the outing. Gem buckets will be extra. Extra gold bags will be available for sale. there will be vendors selling equipment used to find gold in Michigan and offering their knowledge and expertise.
