On September 20, 2011, Keith Voss passed away. Keith was considered our resident geologist for the amount of study he had put in investigating how gold had been deposited here in Michigan. Many a member had gone to him to figure out what kind of mineral they had found while turning some dirt at one of the Chapter's outings. His enthusiasm for prospecting and rock hounding was nearly unmatched by anyone in the chapter. Before moving on to the great gold fields beyond, Keith had his life story done by a volunteer at Hospice of Spectrum Health, Lee Bradley.
